A tour to the Judean Lowlands is a fantastic journey to the land where stories of the Bible go together with great wine in a lush scenario of a region called "the Tuscany of Israel"
We will start the journey in Beit Guvrin, also called "the land of 1,000 caves), an ancient town which part of it was built underground in a system of caves visitable untill today.
Then a visit in Tel Azekah, overlooking the Valley of Elah, where the epic Battle between David and Goliath took place.
A visit in the Judean Lowlands is not complete without a visit in a local Winery where we can taste exquisite wine and have lunch. Wine has been produced in this region since ancient time and production continues untill today following ancient traditions.
To end the day we can visit in one of the many monasteries in the area and admire the archeological site of Emmaus Nicopolis, mentioned in the Gospels where Jesus appeared after his resurrection to two disciples who were walking from Jerusalem to Emmaus.
